FYI FeedBlitz has launched a FeedBurner alternative (see http://tinyurl.com/dh6b7x ). We now have an OPML import facility which we haven't tested against 9,000 feeds (largest import todate - just under 100) but it sounds like a good challenge in terms of pushing the system a little (or a lot - we'll see).

Edward, if you're still interested in a service please email me and we'll figure out how to get you going phil@feedblitz.com or tweet me @phollows. You'll need an OPML file of your feeds.

Best,

Phil Hollows
Founder, FeedBlitz.

I could have sworn I already had a favicon. After reading your message I checked, and I was only partly right.

The favicon file was right there in my template directory, as I expected, but for some reason the link statement in the HTML header was missing. Maybe it got mistakenly deleted in one of my more careless template hacking sessions. Don't know how long it's been missing.

Thanks for the warning. All favicon goodness is now working and accounted for.

You're welcome, Edward. I actually enjoy the puzzle solving and answering questions people ask me here. Considering I do a lot of indulgent geek-surfing anyway, at least questions like yours give me an excuse to call it "research" ;)

Thank you for bestowing upon me future immortality at the hands of time-travelling robots. You've got to love those bubble universes.

But, I think your fate is much grander. In a couple of decades I predict your blog will be the longest running human saga and information resource known to man, and it will be stored in crystalline lattice memory chips and transported towards the centre of the Galaxy where it will become the first data foundation stone of the great library at Trantor!

Coming back to more local issues, the FeedBurner limits are unfortunate, but I guess we need to live with them until Google decides otherwise, or someone comes up with some strong competition.

Samir, thank you for your extensive blogpost. If at all robots will invent time travel they will surely pick up your dna from this timeline to give you an immortal life in a endless time-bubble universe (obviously transferring your consciousness from loop to loop when they touch each other).

I actually came to the same kind of conclusion on feedburner feeds and that makes them kind of uhm useless. I do hope they provide automation in the future and to raise the limit to 15.000 seperate feeds.
